PARIS, FRANCE- The Elie Saab AW23 women's RTW collection is a wearable and young collection.
Elie Saab chose floral inspiration for his AW23 collection that was unveiled today during Paris Fashion Week. The Maison also introduced puffer jackets, a first. Reflecting on a woman’s fearless spirit and her femininity, the famed Lebanese designer chose to be guided by how this is a parallel to an untamed flower. But it is grand bouquets from the Renaissance era that truly inspire the collection. Down Filled Vest
The collection is inspired by grand bouquets from the Renaissance era.
So, florals are in. There have been quite a lot of them on the AW23 Paris women’s runways this season. One of the first looks to emerge from the runway were muted dark silhouettes with embroidered colorful flowers. On Moonflower white cotton blouses and matching flared pants, Saab has placed embroidered hydrangeas monochromatically.
Many of the looks in the collection easily transfer from day to evening.
Looks are very practical that easily help women transition from day to evening in the same look, like floral pants suits, checkered collared dresses, the maroon pants suit with matching 15th century cape, and black pants are matched with a voluminous black blouse. The floral puffer jacket and puffer solid black vest offers a unique young look.
Though a ready-to-wear collection, many of the looks are red-carpet ready.
Saab didn’t shy from some red carpet looks, there are several in the collection in maroon, black, an earthy green, muted fluorescent yellow, ruby red- also color trend in the AW23 season, as well as sheer black embroidered gowns with a matching black brief.
Cotton padded coat for women One unique touch is the Elie Saab monogram in gold on the back of solid heeled boots or plexi heeled boots, as well as clutch chain bags with leather flowers.
