James Milton Rollings Born: June 30, 1945 in Detroit, MI Died: July 30, 2022 in Ottawa, IL James Milton Rollings, 77, of Ottawa, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be 12 noon on August 3, 2022 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with Rev. Steve Adamson, Pastor of Faith Church, Peru, officiating. Burial will take place following the services at Deer Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Jim was born on June 30, 1945 in Detroit, MI to Max and Lorene (Mattingly) Rollings. Jim graduated from Washington High School in Washington, Illinois in 1964 And then began his sheet metal apprenticeship with Local 1. Jim stepped away from Sheet Metal and worked at Silica Sand for several years before returning to sheet metal in the early 2000's, Local #73. The highlight of his career was being a part of working on the renovation of Soldier Field in 2002-2003. Jim married Nancy Powers on May 20, 1967 in Washington, IL. He loved old cowboy movies, good books, car shows, hunting for pheasant and deer, fishing, sports, good times with the family, keeping up with family reunions, traveling, and camping. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Rollings, of Ottawa; two children, Kaci Rollings, Kari (Scott) Lazzarotto; seven grandchildren, Joshua Guerrero, Coltyn Lazzarotto, Trestyn Lazzarotto, Dawsyn Lazzarotto, Avalyn Lazzarotto, Pipyn Lazzarotto, Addyson Hermosillo; one great-grandchild, Aspyn Hermosillo; two brothers, Mike (Kathy) Rollings, Perry (Tori) Rollings; and a sister, Penny Rollings; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Matthew Rollings; and a sister, Challys Rollings. Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
