The company hopes this new service will decrease the number of office visits for simple diagnostic testing

PepiPets, a pet company focused on finding solutions for at-home care of companion animals, is launching a new mobile diagnostic testing service. The launch on this new service, announced in a company release,1 will allow clients to receive diagnostic testing at home for their pets. PepiPets hopes the at-home testing service will help pets feel more comfortable with the procedure and save time on travel to an in-person office visit.

In the release, PepiPets stated the company, “Will work with clients and their veterinarian to ensure that the necessary diagnostic care that a pet's health requires is delivered quickly.”1

After booking an appointment at a time that works best for the client, an experienced PepiPets Veterinarian Technician1 will come to their home and collect the necessary samples for diagnostic testing. Results are provided in as little as 24 hours following sample collection.

PepiPets hopes this at-home diagnostic testing will help not only pets and pet owners, but also veterinarians. It takes the stress away from pets who become anxious with clinic visits, and also alleviates the workload of veterinarians by having one less office visit to schedule and fit into the busy day. This way, the veterinarian sees the test results after they are completed and can focus on the appropriate follow-up care.

The launch of PepiPets’s mobile testing is still brand-new and therefore only available in select areas, most locations local to New Jersey.2
